I have advertised with the Sangean WFR-20 WiFi Internet Radio for the better part of a year and it still works like. I configured the radio so that my local wireless network router (an AT & T router) and have never had a problem connecting with the radio otherwise.
The radio does come preconfigured for thousands of radio stations, but over a year, the URLs for many of these stations has changed. In some cases, such as the BBC have changed the stationsBroadcast format, so that having the stations to be updated on Sangean website. Set-up is about the site not as intuitive or fast, as one would expect to be there and changing several stations can be a time consuming task.
I have problems with Live365 stations in recent months because she had used no problem with connection. Live365 now sends a message that "Preferred Membership" is required to listen to the stations. Admittedly, this is only $ 4 per month, but I can listen to the stationson my PC as usual, with no extra fee mentioned. I also know the sender of one of the stations I have a problem with bin and have verified that Preferred membership is not required to access their home station.
My biggest complaint with the Radio and remote sensors, is that access to "favorite channel" it is limited only six. More presets can be accessed using the knob on the front of the radio, but I have less on the button, the better off.
The sound quality of the speakers is excellent and I appreciate that the audio input jacks on the back of the radio. This allows me a small digital audio recorder to connect directly concerts I wear to play in the radio, which I recordedthrough the radio speakers.
Set the radio to recognize up to my WiFi network was a bit boring, but the manual that comes with the radio is good and that made the process easier to understand – even if I did mess up on my first try.
I never Get the file sharing function or the other proposed method, my computer works to share music files with the radio properly. I lament that more of the router, as the radio, but, as I have hadProblems have similar things in other parts of the hardware.
Overall I am satisfied with the radio and have used it to access countless hours to tune into my favorite stations around the world and my Pandora stations. Set-up and optimizations are not so easy, but once you have everything working properly, it's pretty painless, so it works. Sit back and enjoy music and talk radio a person might want.
