Review
I bought this old, over a quarter of a century. The setup out of the box was a breeze – it was up and running in 10 minutes. I primarily through the use of these as Alram Clock for tunes in the bedroom, but want to be able to it from outside on the deck at work.
The sound quality is ok – better than your standard radio alarm clock, but not as good as some other systems. Bass is a little "boomy" in the bedroom on my bedside table, but, hey, it's not a Tivoli (and a quarter of the price of one, Imight add).
A few quirks I've noticed:
1 – The setup for listening to files your computer has me a few days to work. You must bear one account on each computer, files, want to listen to create – somehow crazy, but not so bad if you only play files from a computer.
2 – I was not able to get the files for a few days to play – at first I thought it was a firewall / AV output, then held my Norton stufff, but stillwould not work. I ended up with a simple password (I tend to use complex passwords, as I work in technology) and then was able to get the files and play them – is lesson if you access your files, should you want to use not all symbols in their passwords.
3 – Another thing that just happened today – for whatever reason lost, the device connecting to my wireless router – although he pointed out, I was not able to play my stations – ended the reset of the wireless info, and it started working again – I hope this is not a recurring theme, so see how the device can accommodate up
I have not hooked up to my present sound system yet, but I note that attached no worse than my current laptop to it.
For the price, not a bad little radio to have around! I would definitely recommend it for the price.
